Luxury ideas for a perfect weekend in Vegas

Like a shimmering mirage in the desert, Las Vegas is a dazzling city of excess. With fantastic casinos and lavish hotels, Las Vegas is the ideal destination for a luxury weekend.

Whatever you want, Las Vegas will have it. From unimaginably sumptuous hotels to glitzy casinos, the city has rightly earned a reputation as one of the most luxurious destinations in the world. Known as the city of sin, Las Vegas is like nowhere else on earth. Everything in the city is brash and spectacular, and only in Las Vegas could a hotel with around 400 rooms be called a boutique hotel. Flamboyant shows, luxury shopping malls and fine dining mean you can design the ideal luxury holiday in Las Vegas.

Steve Wynn is famous for revitalizing the Las Vegas Strip and was responsible for creating some of the most luxurious casinos and resorts in the city. For example, he was involved in the construction of the Bellagio and the Golden Nugget.

The Bellagio is one of the citys most iconic hotels, with a design that was inspired by Lake Como. When you enter its glass domed conservatory that leads into the lobby resplendent with two thousand hand-blown glass flowers, you know that this is no ordinary hotel. The hotel has five fine restaurants, a sumptuous spa and swimming pools. The hotel even has its own shopping strip, the Via Bellagio with upmarket boutiques. The rooms are spacious and overlook either the fountains of Lake Bellagio or stunning mountains and valleys.

The Golden Nugget is famous for its pool, now known as the Tank. This $30 million complex has a shark tank, a 3-storey waterslide and 15 private cabanas. The rooms are just as spectacular, with incredible views of the Vegas Strip or mountains and stunning dcor.

The Mandalay Bay Hotel is another stunning hotel that has its own beach with 2,700 tons of real sand and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool. Guests can rent cabanas, bungalows and personalized villas. The hotel also has its own shark reef that features giant rays, sawfish, green sea turtles, jellyfish, piranhas and rare golden crocodiles. In total, the reef has more than 2,000 marine animals.

Las Vegas has some stunning casinos, but if you want to get away from the slot machines, then there are plenty of other things to do. The Grand Canyon is one of the most amazing sights on earth, and you can experience it by boat, plane or helicopter. Alternatively, try a spectacular Grand Canyon Sunset Tour. As the sun sets, the Canyons rocks are transformed with a dramatic display of shadows and colors. For a touch of luxury, travel to the Grand Canyon in a stretch limousine. A helicopter takes you from your private helipad high above the canyon for the perfect mix of luxury and romance.

If you want to shop, then Las Vegas has plenty of luxury shopping malls, and this being Vegas, they offer more than just stunning clothes, jewelry and other items. At Excalibur shopping mall, you can see medieval jousting or enjoy games and rides. For dining, Las Vegas has many top-end restaurants such as Carnevino, which serves what may be the best steaks in the US. Hand-selected steaks are dry-aged in a meat locker for 60 days to six months and have to be ordered several days in advance.

If youre looking for luxury, then youve come to the right place. Las Vegas has something for everyone and is the perfect destination if you want to relax and pamper yourself and get away from it all.
